Reporting to the BU2 Finance Director , the Finance Manager is responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of financial and management accounts and a strong financial control. Additionally, the Finance Manager will report with dotted line to Rome MD and Milan MD and acting as their business partner.

Role Responsibilities

  1. Financial Control

Month end close ensuring profit and balance sheet are prepared in line with applicable accounting standards and accounting manual- reconciliation and supporting evidence for all balance sheet items

Defining and maintaining the Internal Control Systems which ensure Financial control across the business. Seeking process improvements to address any weaknesses.

  1. Business Partnering

Supporting MD in the maximizing performance of the branch Providing insight to management to assist financial decision making Forecasting and Budgeting requirements

Working with operations department and all other departments to provide guidance on revenue and costs included in monthly/daily estimation

3. Working Capital

Manage all areas of Working Capital to an optimal level – payable/ receivables and stock Cash – Forecasting of cash / net debt and working capital and agree targets

Stock – report stock values, material consumption and DIO’s to enable management to understand month

end stock positions and variance to agreed target levels

Debt – Escalate non-payment issues with project managers and division to facilitate cash receipts Payables – work with management to manage supplier payments in line with working capital targets

  1. Others

Finance team-Manage, nurture, and develop the finance team

Strategic projects- Identify projects to maximize productivity and reduce costs Tax- Corporation tax, VAT and employment tax across all in scope entities Statutory accounts- for all in scope entities

Insurance-Deliver the inputs required by Central procurement team for Insurance

Position Requirements

  • 5-10 years of relevant experience at a global company
  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or another related field (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or other accountant qualifications desirable)
  • Hands-on experience with at least one ERP or accounting system, preferably SAP
  • Previous experience in financial or analytical roles, ideally with leadership responsibilities
  • Experience working in multi-location teams, including remote management
  • Experience of Execution Focused
  • A positive, service-oriented attitude with exceptional problem-solving, time management, and people skills
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
  • Very good English Level- C1/C2
